I took this one from the same spot as the previous post but turned around. This is where I really needed a better lens. I love dolphins and really want some good shots of them some day. I could take a charter that guarantees you will see them behind the boat. But that doesn't seem the same to me. I like seeing them like this. They weren't chasing a boat or showing off to people. They were just being their selves. A few inches to the right and down just a little you can see the remainder of the splash from another one. They were jumping out all over for a few moments.
Here's a map that shows the area most of these pictures were taken from.
Update: I meant to say something in the original post but was in a hurry and forgot. I did do some color adjusting and a rotate and crop for this one. As I stated before the water was really rough, ( the pictures don't show that part well) and it was very hard to get a good comp on the dolphin. This is what I normally try NOT to do but this was the best jump and as much as I love dolphins, I wanted to show it the best way I could with what I had. And I try not to edit that much, but I didn't say I was against it! :) So I gave it a serious twist and crop! Oh, and the spec to the right of the dolphin in the air is a bird. So I didn't want to clone it out. Here's the original frame with level adjustments.
Well I'm back up to date now!! Now I'll be back to daily posts again. Sorry about all the choppiness in the day to day entries.
