This is one of many groundhogs that live in this field. It's a field about 3 miles from the campgrounds we camped at in North Carolina. I tried getting a closer shot of him but he ran when I just opened my car door. The patch of grass is his home. Those patches are all over the field. Whoever cuts the grass there knows where each groundhog lives and leaves their houses safe.
